I graduated summa cum laude from Kent State University in 2007 with a bachelor’s degree in public relations and minors in business and English. During college, I worked to gain a diverse background in writing and PR. My experiences include:
- Active member of Kent State PRSSA
- College of Arts and Sciences beat reporter for the Daily Kent Stater
- Marketing intern in the marketing and communications department of University Hospitals Case Medical Center
- Public relations intern at Flash Communications and Kent State University Communications and Marketing
- Public relations intern at Landau Public Relations
In addition to my passion for gaining PR experience and expertise, I have a passion for reading, writing and traveling. After studying abroad in Northern Ireland for a semester during my sophomore year in college, I continued my travels about Europe, Thailand, Mynamar, Laos, China, Egypt and Mexico, having visited more than 25 countries in the past four years. I’m looking forward to traveling to India this spring.
I now serve as an account executive at Akhia Public Relations in Hudson, Ohio, where I focus on media relations, marketing communications, eCommunications, social media and B2B strategy and metrics reporting for a variety of B2B accounts.
What a fantastic person you are!! This reads great. Looking forward to reading more.
